4-H Camp Pioneer & Dakan Arena
Property Description
4-H Camp Pioneer is the local 4-H camp serving Randolph County and surrounding areas. Randolph County has a unique historical connection with the national 4-H organization that goes back to the very beginnings of 4-H in the United States. In 1915, the first organized 4-H camp in the world was held on a farm in southern Randolph County, just south of the current camp. That first 4-H camp, “Camp Good Luck”, was followed by years of camps around the county. In 1952, 4-H Camp Pioneer became the permanent site for 4-H camps in Randolph County. The facility now serves as a 4H camp, event center and agricultural event center. Various events are held here each year including the Randolph County Fair, horse shows, rodeos and private gatherings from weddings to reunions. The campground is located on the agricultural campus adjacent to the Dakan Arena and Agricultural Complex building. 30 Amp & 50 Amp electrical service, water hookup and sewage hookups available. Free WiFi.
